OMG the penultimate day is here!!

OMG OMG OMG OMG WTF

Well not long now. On a scale of 1 to 10 how nervous am I??? OMG I'm sooooo scared, what am I leaving behind?!?

If I focus on all the exciting stuff I'm going to do and see, everything is OK. When I think about who and what I leave behind, that's when the panic sets in!!

Well I'll be heading for Heathrow at 5.30am, check-in at 7.30am and fly at 9.30am. 12hrs later I'll be in Mumbai and 2hrs later, I'll be on the final leg of my journey, destination Hong Kong.

Free At Last!!!

Well I survived the last day at work and to finish the end of an era, I took part in a bit of after work drinking.  My two favourite friends at work surprised me with a Chinese phrase book and a £25 House of Fraser gift card. OMG I'm soooo going to miss Sumeeta and Lorraine. 

Got up this morning with a hangover from hell. I was just getting ready to make my way home when my old work mates turned up. Hmmmm 2nd wave of drinking. Not my greatest idea! Wine is cheaper by the bottle than the glass. Guess who was sloshed?!? Oh well, it was my leaving party after all!

Final working day in the UK!!

Well, it's my final working day in the UK whooo hoooo. What will I do with no distractions from work... panic!!! I still haven't sorted my accommodation out but my plan is to check into a nice hotel as a base and let my hunt begin. Gotta live life on the edge lol!

Well, this time next week, I'll be pacing round the airport, trying to remain calm. I have my tourist guide which I've almost read cover to cover. I'm really excited now!

Not long now till I finish work and then go through the chore of packing my case. What if I never come back? That's a lot of stuff I need to take!!! xxx

Hong Kong! Yhey baby

10 Day's till Touch Down!

Hi everyone!!

My name is Hayley and about a month a go I decided on a whim that I would move to Hong Kong and see what it has to offer.  I'm off to work as an International Courier and jet set it round the world, seeing the sights and getting paid for it. I know that sounds glamourous, but I'm prepared for those long waits in airport lounges, in the middle of nowhere with only my lap top to keep me company!!

Well, only 9 days till I leave the UK and 10 days till touch down! Hmmmm excited and scared at the same time. What am I letting myself in for??? Oh well, you only live once and as I keep getting told, if it doesn't work out, I can always come home! 

I've been doing my research, everyone who has been, speaks very highly of it.  The websites and tourism sites make it all seem lovely but then they would, wouldn't they?!? We certainly wouldn't advertise Britain as a country with mostly miserable weather, over populated and deteriating job prospects in this current economic climate.  

I'm looking for adventure, excitement and a chance to push myself to the limit by doing something that so isn't like me, braving the big wide world, alone. I'll be like a poor old Paddington Bear but this adventure is all mine and it will be me that creates the pages in each of the chapters. 

The countdown has begun!! xxx
